Full Circle Kung Fu is a martial arts school located in Newport News, Virginia, offering classes in a structured but relaxed environment. The school teaches two styles: Ba Gua Zhang Kung Fu and Tiger Kung Fu. Ba Gua Zhang Kung Fu uses advanced techniques and a specialized form of footwork to safely position oneself against one or more opponents. Tiger Kung Fu provides the foundation and confidence to be decisive in any situation.
The school's approach allows students to evolve their own style of martial art, created from their strengths. Techniques from other practices, such as BJJ, Judo, Wing Chun, boxing, and Karate, are integrated into the practice to aid in understanding different styles and opponents. Full Circle Kung Fu is not preparing students for the fighting ring, but for real life and longevity.
The school offers a free week of lessons for new students. Classes are held at two locations: the Riverside Wellness and Fitness Center and the Old Courthouse Way Community Center. The Youth/Adults class is held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, while the Kids class is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Full Circle Kung Fu also has a shop where students and community members can purchase merchandise, such as rank shirts and community shirts. The shop allows customers to request custom logo and color changes at no extra cost. The school also participates in various events, including tournaments, demos, and seminars, and offers private lessons that can be scheduled to fit individual schedules.
